POLISHED STAINLESS STEEL 316. We use” Stainless Steel 316”which is a marine grade, it will stand up to sea water and most chemicals. We canalso etch exotic steels like Duplex, Supererrititic andSuperaustentic.
We do not use normal stainless steel 304 or allow unpainted mild steel anywhere near our workplaces, this is because the higher quality steels can be easily contaminated by 304 and mild steel. There is an exception for “Super Polished” 304 which has a mirror finish.
Sign Industriesdo a lot of “free issue” work for industry and can manage up to 4 metres X 1.5 metres X 3 millimetres thick. We also etch on fabricated structures with any thickness of material.
Stainless steel is very flexible to use and fits in to many situations that were the precinct of more traditional materials such as brass, granite and wood, a great advantage is that it is relatively cheap, making it of no great interest to scrap thieves, yet almost vandal proof because it will reject normal aerosol paintand can be re – faced with a sanding board if it is scratched.
These examples are of plate work for Glaxo and various oil companies.
